About Dr Melissa
Dr Melissa completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) & Bachelor of Health Science at RMIT university in 2022. Her journey into osteopathy started after being treated herself for sporting injuries. She saw first-hand how much the right hands-on care can make a difference, and this inspired Melissa to help others get back to doing what they love.
Melissa has a special interest in women’s health and is continuing to expand her knowledge in pelvic health. She particularly enjoys supporting women through pregnancy-related pain, helping them feel comfortable, confident, and able to move well during such an important time.
Alongside this, Melissa regularly treats sporting injuries, headaches, and jaw pain, taking a whole-body approach to understand the root cause — not just the symptoms.
She enjoys treating patients of all ages from children to older adults.
Melissa uses a wide range of techniques to tailor treatment to each individual, including:
- Soft tissue massage
- Joint articulation
- Muscle energy techniques
- Counterstrain
- Ultrasound therapy
- Manipulation
- Dry needling
Outside of work Melissa enjoys reading, playing netball competitively, strength training, camping, walking her dog (Oscar), and spending time with her fiancé and family.
